Easter in Philippines and Nepal

Nikita Edwards April 15, 2018

We had a glorious time in Philippines and Nepal! Every moment and every outreach was filled everyday with young people so full of the love of Christ and so much passion, it was so contagious and refreshing. It was a level of devotion I had never seen in that shape or form from young teenagers. What we came to do was share gospel reggae worship with the people of Philippines and Nepal, and I have to admit I thought the people would have been reserved and maybe even quiet to us being strangers with a music genre like reggae. But I was so wrong, people were so responsive, enjoying the worship, responding to the Gospel and not wanting the concerts to end. I witnessed so much hospitality, compassion, encouragement and grace from both countries. But most of all,  I felt the love from every person we came to serve through our worship, speaking, teaching and sharing. See what took place the last 14 days being in Asia.

Matthew 25:35-36

Prison Ministry

Me and Michelle (tour manager) had the opportunity to go into a women's prison to share our testimonies and the Gospel with the women. All responded yes to Jesus! And they didn't want us to leave!!

I got to disciple, share my story and teach them a routine for Easter Sunday Sunrise 5am service. These young women are the future and I am so encouraged and honored when I get to pour into the young ones. #Mentoring #Discipleship

Kathmandu, Nepal
This outreach was such a fruitful outcome! We came from a missed flight in Malaysia, without luggage. (without clothes for 2 days) Yet, this audience hyped us up so much, that we forgot about our temporary circumstances, and remembered that God wants us to never focus on the tangible hurdles, but to look ahead and remember the Call of making disciples.

Hebrews 10:24-25 "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."

Jesus, Carnaval and Brazil

Nikita Edwards March 9, 2018

It was my first time to Brazil with Christafari and my reaction was: Super passionate! I heard so much about the culture and the people of Brazil, but man, seeing it with my own eyes and stepping into this amazing country was transformational truly.
I know I often return and share my updates about how much we were able to do for Jesus and the Kingdom of God, but this trip I wanted to make sure I don't forget to share with you, what God did in me during this trip, for I believe that it will be meaningful to you and challenging, but so good.

We were in the center of Rio de Janeiro, in Copacabana where we partnered with Bola de Neve church, who has 400 campuses and we proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus, with other evangelists. It was epic!

Many people got baptized during this outreach during the Carnaval in Copacabana

Our Miracle Story: Isaque
Exactly 1 year ago this boy’s mother asked us to pray for Isaque his chronic ear inflammation. His doctor said that it was only a short matter of time before he’d go completely deaf. BUT GOD... So we laid hands on him and prayed for him. The next day we learned that the inflammation had gone way down. When they went to the hospital, the doctor couldn’t explain it—he said that Isaque had been healed. We saw this boy in São Luis and he has his hearing back, no more inflammation and he is fully healed… It’s truly a miracle! Thanks for sending us here!

And this is our Miracle Isaque a year later after being healed. We were so blessed to have seen what God has done a year later as we returned to São Luis.

Here in São Luis we ministered and shared the gospel with at least 100,000 people this night. It was pouring rain like crazy, but the people of Brazil stayed till the end of the concert!

We make sure that we combine fun and then end the night with a super loud praise party for Jesus, after people raise their hands and accept Jesus!

This year I'm stepping it up in Christafari and I am using my dance talent for the Lord during our worship set. Check out our reggae version of "What A Beautiful Name" on Youtube now!

BUT... The biggest thing that God did in me this tour, while I was part of doing His work, for His Glory was to experience how the people of Brazil worship so passionate, so real, so deep and so outgoing. It was so contagious and I am taking this new part of me, with me to every next small or big stage. You see, I truly believe that Jesus wants me and you to go bigger for Him in 2018! Prior to this trip I was honestly frustrated with how I witnessed worship in the USA as something only the people on stage did, while church attendees more so sat academically and had to be prompted to stand up or clap along. You see, I truly believe that Jesus wants me and you to go bigger for Him in 2018!

Mission to the Supai Indians

Nikita Edwards January 24, 2018

The first month of the year is almost half way over, and I sure hope you started the year off strong. For me and the Christafari team, we just finished our first tour of 2018 and it was incredible!

We ministered at the bottom of the Grand Canyon to the Supai Indians, and toured throughout Utah, Nevada and California. Thanks to your prayers and support, we were able to see hundreds of decisions for Christ and countless lives impacted by the Gospel. Here are some highlights:

It's been Christafari's desire to minister to the Supai Indians for over 25 years. After 6 years of discussions, we finally received a miracle invitation and had just a few days to pull everything together.

These amazing kids, Aoda, Ted and Rose showed up everyday for our Christafari kids program. The truth is many kids in Havasupai Village go through hardships, such as growing up in homes with alcoholics, drug use, abuse, and with at least one family member in prison.

So during our week in the village, we had the privilege of spending quality time with the kids, and sharing with them the love of Christ--It was a blast! We hope to return back soon as we've now built key relationships with the Supai.

Here I am praying for my friend Delphine. Will you join me in praying for the Supai Tribe? Several of her children are strayed and involved in alcoholism and drug abuse. After sharing my testimony from stage, people often come up to me afterwards to talk. This creates great one-on-one ministry opportunities.

I rejoice when I see how our personal testimonies, when partnered with the gospel help bring people to a saving faith!

Our concert in Las Vegas at the Salvation Army Adult Rehab center was truly glorious! I was speechless when almost every person in the audience stepped up on stage to accept Christ! It's incredible seeing so many make a personal decision in such a public way.

As full-time missionaries, our off days are often work days. We utilized downtime on this tour; we vision cast for the upcoming year, team build, record songs, work on fundraising, and we shot 3 music videos. It was a very productive time!Stay tuned…
