I can testify it has been a busy last two months evangelizing together with my team in four nations in East Africa, to be exact we set foot in Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania and Rwanda for a total of 3 weeks. This year is also another milestone as I am entering in my 6th year of being a full-time missionary. To see God's provision, faithfulness and direction through all these years along with connecting me to His people who are part of this missions work, has been a true blessing.
After two years I returned back to minister to the Maasai men and women. Seeing them receive us with a warm welcome was one of a kind. And spending the night in their community reminded me, that you truly do not need a lot, when you have each other.
I got united with my adopted "Grandma" Magrit from the Maasai Tribe in Oloitoktok, Kenya. We met in 2017 (left photo) my first time in Kenya and two years later, God made it possible to return back tot he same tribe and to come across her again in 2019 (right photo). As a travelling missionary, it makes me sometimes sad to build relationships that are at distance. But to have gone back again, shows me the goodness of God and how he takes care of our desires in His timing and according to His will.
Meet Joy, a 6 year old girl, who stole my heart while ministering in the largest slum in Kenya, named Kibera. She lives up to her name truly. Full of smiles, and this moment captured was right before she prayed to accept Jesus in her heart. Evangelism can often be described as the masses, but by no means is it the only way that reaches people at the heart. I believe many people see Jesus in how we speak, respond, forgive, love, give and share our lives with others, before we start preaching the Good News. Giani who will you influence today in the place God has you?
Meet the amazing Kamari family from Rwanda. They carry a special place in my heart. My first mission trip was in 2012 to Rwanda and they were the hosts for the missions team Thru Guidance ministries that I served with. After all these years we managed to meet up in person and share all that God has done in our lives in the last 7 years. It was a good time of catching up, but it was also a reminder that this was the place where God spoke to me, to serve Him with my talents of dance and music.
What's next?
The end of February is when we take off to Brazil to minister during the Carnival Season.
Will you prayerfully consider joining me as a monthly sponsor and prayer partner in 2019?
