Writing this email simply gives me goosebumps! We have finished the first 8 months of 2019 and our Christafari team has ministered in the last 8 months the Goods News of Jesus Christ in 20 countries total! That is a praise! That is a celebration truly. If you are a partner in prayer or in sending me out monthly through financial support, I just want to applaud you, because you my friend are making an impact world wide as well.
Our trip in the Caribbean was eventful, insightful and impactful to not just non-believers, but even believers. We were in Guyana, Trinidad, Barbados, French Guiana and Suriname!
I truly believe that as a ethnic diverse team that represents several nations we have an opportunity to connect with many people in the audience. Particularly this trip I experienced people questioning often if we are truly Christians due to our appearance with dreadlocks and it being questioned to be associated with the Rastafarian religion. It was an amazing opportunity to witness to Christians who had prejudice towards us, based on our outward appearance.
This verse came even more alive to me this trip:
1 Samuel 16:7 "But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
Check out some of the moments we had while ministering!
Pastor Mark and our team had an opportunity in Barbados and in Suriname to teach a workshop on how to use music as a tool for evangelism. As well as to do a Q&A with aspiring Gospel Artists.
We baptized 15 people in Suriname
My cousin Sandrina, a well known volleyball athlete was one of the people who got baptized during our concert. I was truly praising God! As I am so excited to see her life continue to be transformed by Jesus Christ. I just got to brag on how good my God is!!
