We are seeing God move during our outreaches and we thank God for the outreaches we have had in Arizona, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Florida
Since our last update, we ministered in two Salvation Army Corps and Adult Rehabilitation Centers in Texas, avoided a major baseball-size hailstorm and rainstorm the day before our show in Oklahoma, and now we are in Corpus Christi where we will be all weekend long.
One week ago, we made a group decision to extend our tour and stay in Texas. We really started living out our tour motto of "Drive By Faith."
We had no immediate plans, but God once again provided for us. We were provided free lodging for the entire band by the Salvation Army in Houston, gracious hosts here in Corpus Christi, as well as new opportunities to minister at the main Calvary in Houston. Praise God!
Meeting Aurora, 5 years old at the Navajo Reservation in Sweetwater, TX was truly a blessing to my heart. Meeting so many people on the road is a given, but a sweet heartfelt connection with the little ones, is like seeing Jesus through the eyes of childlike faith.
We had an incredible Sunday leading worship at Calvary Chapel West Houston!
What a joy to see my long time friend Ande from Florida while playing in her hometown Oklahoma! Thankful for blessings like these while living on the road
Thank you to the Salvation Army in Houston, TX for providing the entire band with free lodging for five days. We stayed on their compound when we decided to extend our tour in Texas.
If you know me, then you know that I love every opportunity I have to connect with my family and friends from home. Keren and Kirk are my friends from Dubai who now live in the Houston Texas area. They just had their first daughter Summer five months ago, and I have the honor to be supported by them as a full-time missionary with Christafari.
Praying for a fan after playing a concert at the Salvation Army in Houston, TX
We spent Mother’s Day at Rock City Church in Corpus Christi, TX
We want to extend our deepest thank you to our new family at the Rock City Church. God bless you!
Ministering at the Celebrate Recovery service in Houston, TX
We saw several men in recovery dedicate their lives to Christ, and many others received tokens to celebrate rehabilitation milestones. It was incredible seeing all these men walking the path of recovery and encountering God in new ways.
A 50 state tour wouldn't be possible without the partnership of the Salvation Army USA. They provide us with free lodging and meals when possible. They are more than thrift stores. We believe in their ministry whole-heartedly.
In contrast to our wholesome experience at a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Houston, we soon found ourselves ministering in the epicenter of the party lifestyle: Bourbon Street, New Orleans. We had the wonderful opportunity to play at the Bourbon Street Revival, an outreach ministry that meets in Saints and Sinners bar in the heart of the French quarter. From the moment we arrived, it became clear to us that we were in a battlefield. Surrounding us was blatant sin. The eyes of passers-by were filled to the brim with emptiness. We saw great sadness in those around us. Ministering with reggae in a bar gave us the ability to reach out to groups many people may see as unreachable — those indulging in drugs and alcohol. As unorthodox as it was, we genuinely believe that this is where Jesus would be, for it is the sick that need the doctor.
