Limitless Life

Vol 2. Issue 1

Happy month of February!

It is the shortest month of the year, yet this month of Crossover Church has been filled with events. We started the Tithe Challenge on February 2. Crossover Church had the biggest tithes/offering ever in its history, a total of $20,000. Amazing things happen when everyone is in obedience to God and the fruits will show in God’s timing.
We finished our gym finally, which is a dream come through. Praise God for this amazing transformation. We had our Ministry Expo to make sure everyone finds a place and opportunity to display their talents and gifts at Crossover Church. If you haven’t connected with a ministry yet I encourage you to

During Valentine’s weekend we catered to the singles on Singles Night Out with special guest speaker Tony Gaskins and for the married couples we had our Limitless Marriage Conference.
Our Roots group season has taken off as well and if you are not in a small bible study group this season, you are definitely missing out as we are studying the Limitless Life by Derwin Gray. If you are not in a group make sure you get a copy of the book for only $10 at Crossover Church. Trust me you will not regret it!

Finally, on the last day of February we will have our PoetSoul Spoken Word and performance event. This event will include refreshments, great positive entertainment for ONLY a $5 entrance fee.
I am excited and overwhelmed at the same time, but these activities show how Crossover Church is growing and moving rapidly towards more discipleship, more opportunities to experience God and have fellowship outside of the regular Sunday Worship Experience.
We are serving a Limitless God and as the church is together on a journey of experiencing a limitless life with God, I pray you surrender everything and all to Him. For He is great and mighty and God knows always what is best for you. I am experiencing truly God his faithfulness daily and He is giving me more than I could ever imagine.

Written with love,

Nikita Carter

Living with Purpose

Vol. 1 Issue 12

Greetings to you,

I hope you started 2014 year with an exciting outlook on what this year will look like. I hope that you have set achievable goals for yourself and your family. What are you going to do different this year? Or what have you started in 2013 and will you continue to cultivate in 2014?  God is the Creator of everything, including you. With that being said, as His creation He has intended you to fulfill a purposeful life in glory and honor to His kingdom.

As this year started two weeks ago my dream for you is to have intimacy with God. May you receive wisdom, discernment and above all may you seek God’s will for your life. Often times we have plans and expectations of what needs to happen. In the midst of your plans I advise each person to seek God first, to surrender your plans to Him and to know that He could make changes to your plans. For ultimately Many plans are in a man’s mind, but it is the Lord’s purpose for him that will stand -Proverbs 19:21

As you seek God’s will and share the depths of your heart, let surrendering your life to God be part of the process. Surrendering takes away the weight of holding on to all the worries or the unknown. Surrendering means I give up my control over my life for His control over my life. Surrendering means you trust God to know and do what is best for your life.

I pray that this year 2014 represents to be a revelation to you and your family of what He desires. May you live life more in faith and may you be surrounded by like-minded people who seek God’s will for their lives. For “Bad company corrupts good character”- 1 Corinthians 15:33
Let’s start well and eliminate anything that keeps us further away from drawing nearer to God. I give thanks to God for placing me for such a time as this among many at Crossover Church. Being at Crossover this past year in full-time ministry has allowed me to develop and mature my faith in Jesus Christ and it continues to develop. I encourage anyone to have a faith community where you can be encouraged, prayed for, and guided in following your calling and purpose in life.

Happy New Year

Vol. 1 Issue 11- December 2013

What’s up Crossover?

We all tend to talk about resolutions when the New Year starts, but how many of those resolutions we truly make happen?  What were your resolutions last year for 2013? More importantly, what are you doing for the year 2014? I am sure you have dreams and goals, whether they are short-term or long-term that you want to achieve. Perhaps you want to improve certain skills, travel and discover a new place, obtain a college degree, or maybe you are working on improving relationships with people in your life. I know one thing, God created you as his masterpiece with a unique and outstanding purpose, so go ahead and use the world as a canvas where you can exhibit His beautiful masterpiece.

I want to challenge you right now as you read and think about your own personal journey this year. Have you accomplished any of your resolutions? If you did, I am sure it felt really good to do so. There is a genuine joy that comes from accomplishing and completing a mission. As I encourage you to reflect back on the year 2013, I want to motivate and inspire you for the year 2014, so I am going to challenge you with two focus points: People and Vision.

People
How do you view your interpersonal relationships? Are you on good terms with everyone in your life or is there someone with whom you could reconcile? We all go through love, laughter, crying, growth and conflicts in life, some people in your life will even hurt you very deeply. I challenge you to examine your heart and see if there are some hurts of which you need to let go. What role can forgiveness play in your life as you leave 2013 and enter into the year 2014?

Vision
Create your own vision board for the year 2014. You can be as creative and imaginative as you like to be, it is YOUR vision board. Write down your goals, dreams, passion, hobbies, challenges, improvements etc. Nothing is ever too crazy. Often when we write down what it is that we want to achieve, that idea then starts to come alive as you are in the midst of life. I am so excited for you and stay encouraged
